Twitter Trouble!!

Khadijah’s comments about her teacher were not appropriate. The things that she said about her teacher may make others not take him seriously. She meant to say these things to hurt him. These qualities about her teacher may or may not be true. There is nothing wrong with eating fish sticks for dinner but Khadijah may think it is childish. Fish sticks are food so why is it so bad to eat them? That is only my opinion but someone may think otherwise. 

The suspension of these students was appropriate. Two students got seven-day suspensions and were also removed from the classes of the teachers that were named in their tweets. Others got two-day suspensions, two students who participated in the discussion online received a warning, and the other two were back in school but had to write apology letters. Some students said more than others therefore those students had a tougher punishment. Those students that said less things had a lighter punishment. The school board was reasonable to enforce such a punishment because this allows the students to know that there are consequences to their actions.

It is good for students to share their opinions freely but not when they hurt others. They could talk to their friends or family about how they feel. They should not post this sort of thing online because they it allows for others, that do not actually know what is really happening, to join the conversation. Those people end up getting in trouble as well. This situation would be a good example. The students that probably did more had a tougher punishment (7-day suspensions) compared to those students that had lighter punishments (received a warning for their actions) who probably didn't do as much but were still part of it in some way. 

Paparazzi: Scandalous?

Yes, celebrities are very much aware of what their fame will do to their private lives but that still is not a valid reason to take advantage of them. It is very evident that celebrities are mistreated by the paparazzi. The things that celebrities do are done by regular people everyday all over the world. Since these people have been in movies or are the hottest artists, doesn't mean that that their private lives should be throw out for the world to see. Celebrities are humans, just like everyone else. 

Throughout the years, the paparazzi have gotten more aggressive. They would shout and make comments to get the attention of the celebrity. The paparazzi go to far when they put risk the safety of people. A few months ago, there was an incident which included a man named Chris Guerra and Justin Bieber. On a pursuit to get the perfect shot of Justin Bieber, Chris Guerra was killed by a car when he ran out on the road. Chris Guerra was a paparazzo. These people not only risk the safety of the celebrities, but also their own safety as well. 

"Too far" would also be the paparazzi going into the celebrity's personal life through their phones, social media etc. They get information is supposed to be confidential, which means the public should not know about them. There are things in a person's life that aren't meant to be seen by others. If they choose to let others see it, it is fine because it is their choice but when someone let's someone else see it without the owners permission, that is going too far. 

The paparazzi post certain things online because the majority if people are on media networks. It catches the attention of the people and make them react to what is happening. The paparazzi can also see these things to others. It not only gives them money but it also gives them the pride of saying that they took that picture that everyone has been talking about. 

A few years back, Nicole Richie was successfully able to get a restraining order against Fabricio Luis Mariotto, who she says tried to scare her family in order to get reactionary photographs. The order says that Mariotto has to stay 100 yards away from the family. According to Richie, Mariotto “drives erratically around my children and others, yells, screams and attempts to scare us so that he can photography our reactions”. The way that Nicole Richie and her family were treated was unacceptable. This not only endangered herself, but it could have potentially endangered her children. Everyone, especially children should feel safe.

People do not have the right to go through my belongings to find personal information. If someone were to look through my laptop or cell phone, it would not sit well with me. They do not have my consent to look through my belongings. Everyone’s privacy should be respected because we would all be unhappy and upset if our privacy were invaded.
